You won’t find a property like this a second time on Tenerife. Modern design blends with the latest green technology. If you aspire to a sustainable life with the possibility of absolute autonomy, then you have finally found what you’re looking for.
I won’t waste your time by telling you everything you see in the photos and videos; instead, I will explain the special features of this property.
Upon entering the house, the wood stove in the living room immediately catches your eye. It is connected to the entire house through a system and pleasantly heats the floor under your feet. Additionally, it heats one of the thermal systems in the house.
In the middle of the house, there is a multipurpose room where the reverse osmosis system and the thermal systems for hot water are located. The property is fully thermally and acoustically insulated; all windows and doors are made of PVC, and it features smart home technology.
During the complete renovation in 2013, both the sanitary and electrical installations were renewed, and several solar cells were installed. From the roadside to the house, an underground wiring for water, electricity, and telephone lines was laid, with maintenance and control chambers.
The house has been built only with the best materials, noticeable, for example, in the flexible aluminum pipes coated with plastic to prevent pipe breakage. Additionally, it is earthquake-resistant.
Outside the property, there are two large underground water tanks. One holds approximately 10,000 liters of water, and the other around 55,000 liters. These are filled through a rainwater collection system, which even redirects water from the roof. This guarantees the irrigation of the numerous fruit trees and the entire estate, which covers over 10,000 square meters. Of course, the estate has an automatic irrigation system and electricity throughout the premises to easily connect devices in all corners. In front of the house, there is a sunken turntable for the car, making entry and exit easier.
Following the ecological model, no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are used on the entire property, which features various fruit trees such as avocados, medlars, two types of kiwis, almond trees, peach trees, etc., whose annual production exceeds €25,000 in revenue. Additionally, the estate provides space and stables for various animals like goats, chickens, birds,…
Also worth mentioning is the hermetically sealed septic tank with the possibility of connection to the public sewage system, should the city decide to expand it. It never needs to be emptied due to its three-chamber filter system and has been approved by a public authority.
And if all of this hasn’t convinced you yet; the two wooden cabins next to the main house can easily be converted into additional guesthouses.
